Why Do Actor's Need Websites?

All actors should have a website. Whether you're in film, theatre, voice-over work, animation, commercial, modeling, etc. you need to have a website on the internet.  It's taking the place of having business cards.  This way, you have your complete resume, contact information, photos, music samples, video and other content readily available for anyone including directors, casting agents, agencies and talent scouts who may be interested in your talents.  Think of it as an extension of your current resume.  You can't show video and music on a resume but you can on a website.

Some website design companies offer actor's an exclusive rate of $95 per page.  That may seem like a good deal, if you're wanting a single-page website. Vita Opus! offers a 5 - 9 page websitefor only $279, plus the small cost of hosting and a domain name through GoDaddy or DreamHost.  Here's what you can have on your website, but it's not limited to these options:

Hosting, Domain Names and Updates

Hosting Plan and Domain Name Details A hosting account is necessary for all websites because websites need a leased server space to store the site files on the internet. Domain names are neccesary because users need a short, easy-to-remember URL (internet address) to direct them to your website. Vita Opus! Design Studio reccommends using either GoDaddy Website Hosting or Dream Host Premium Hosting. Once your website is designed, Vita Opus! will request setting up a hosting account and a domain name to go with it. You can do it yourself or you can also provide Vita Opus! with an active credit card number and it will be set up for you. All website costs can be adjusted to montly or annual payments. Domain names will be decided by the client with suggestions from Vita Opus!

Vita Opus! will gladly take on the responsibility of updating and maintaining your website. This service is only $25 per hour. You can fit a lot of updates (depending on the size of each update) into an hour of work. This is reccommended because if any problems arise in your website due to an updating error on Vita Opus!'s behalf, it is on us and you will not be charged. Free fixes include spelling error, missing links and document errors.

Keep in mind that by taking on this responsibility you may be subject to the same updating and maintenance charges if problems or server-sided issues arise. Vita Opus! does not offer free maintenance unless otherwise noted in the Consultation.
